»» Dressing Like Italians

I feel myself guilty for having missed a post strictly related to our blog, published on one of the sections of this site - Travel to Italy tips.
Federico posted an advice, about ‘what to wear while you are vacationing in Italy’, by replying to a specific request over the matter asked from an American female on her forties, who was planning to spend a holiday in Italy.

The point interesting of the post, is about ‘the comparison with the elegance of the Italian female that would scare many foreigner women traveling to Italy’.

I suppose that could be the subject for an interesting discussion involving people from different countries with different lifestyle.
So, I invite you to join us in the discussion, by letting us know your view over this matter.

The comments (including comments by my friends):

- Cristina (friend) says:

In my opinion, every people comes with its own culture and lifestyle and the wearing habits are just a consequence of that. So, basically I take the Federico’s point….

- Michela (friend) says:

I see the concerns of foreigner people coming in Italy. Here you have the most famous fashion houses, designers and the time, and day to day efforts we devote to look at our best are bigger than any other people do.

- Cecilia (friend) says:

Sometimes, such matters as fashion, clothing, shopping could easily fall us Italians into provincialism according to the view of the foreigners.

- Vera (Czech Republic) says:

Who can fix the parameters of what is the right wearing hab. or look? I suppose what you mean to say, the dominance of Italian culture in the fashion and design world, is just your point of view. That is mainly due to your arrogance. You also suggested in a your previous post, Bata shops to a Hungarian man traveling to Italy for shopping Italian shoes. I would like to stress Bata is not an Italian brand, the origin of this shoe label is from my country, Czech Republic. So please, stop your arrogance about the dominance of Italian fashion in the world.

- Viviana (moderator) says:

Vera, I am sorry if our comments hurt your national proud. I like to involve people to get any point of view, better if people coming from countries other than Italy, so I welcome to you. Sincerly, I can’t see any comments either arrogant or lacking of respect to any people; if that happen, I will not publish it. I am glad to see you are a loyal reader of our pages, but please, tell me where I have written Bata to be an Italian label; I told you can find these shops in any city in Italy and probably in any large one accross Europe.
Also, I have never written about what you name ‘dominance of Italian fashion…’
